The British Open Championships, The Galleon, Kilmarnock November 2010

Braehead members were very much in evidence at the Championships this weekend. A very wintry weekend saw members making their way over the Fenwick Moor to reach The Galleon to a very competitive competition with some excellent curling. Team Neilson; Aileen Neilson, Michael McCreadie, Ian Donaldson and Gerald Poccock fought off stiff opposition to reach a semi final place; as did Angie Malone. Jim Elliot, Gill Keith and Neil Hogg. Aileen, Michael, Ian and Gerald went on to play the final. Our warmest congratulations to the Championship winners from Moray, Gregor Ewan, Mike Mckenzie, Jim Gault and Jackie Cayton.
